A plethora of new faces have joined the eminent One piece cast, similar to season 1 it is expected to have a mix of several arcs combined together in and as a new season.
The story is based on a manga written by the famous mangaka a.k.a ‘The God of foreshadowing’ none another than “Eiichiro Oda”.
The Japanese Shonen Manga series has become a huge success since its first release, becoming a global sensation over-night. Unmatched storyline, lovable characters like Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Shanks, White beard, Robin, Shanks, Kuma etc. often lefts audience with a raw emotions and compels them to watch more of it.
The long-running series recently completed 25 years and was celebrated among fans globally. Having completed many seasons with a beautiful, emotional storyline, fans connects with it so much that even after delivering 1100+ episode audience wants more of it.
When it premiered in 2023, Netflix’s One piece live-action took the global audience by storm hence became the #1 adaption of any anime in no time and was also Ranked #1 Trending TV show for the year 2023. Hype and the countdown for the upcoming season 2 have been on ever since.
With many failed attempts on adapting a manga/ anime series to a live-action many considered it to be a waste and drowning business idea as previous versions did not attracted any audience instead faced heavy criticisms hence many production distances from taking this kind of projet. But Netflix on the other hand seems to have struck gold with One Piece.
Netflix’s One Piece Season 2: Everything You Need to Know
One Piece follows the story of a young pirate named Monkey D. Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) who wants to be a king of the pirate and want to find everything that the world has to offer i.e Gold D Roger’s long-lost treasure, the One Piece.
Season 1 of One Piece live-action introduced us to Luffy as he recruits the 1st members of the Straw Hat pirates crew — Zoro (Bounty Hunter), Nami (Navigator), Usopp (Sniper), and Sanji (Shef) hence luring audiences around the world.
The season 1 of the live-action show once aired on Netflix. Smashed all the charts becoming Global Top 10 in no time, and was trending at number 1 in 46 regions. The live-action earned 60 million views in less than 2-weeks hence the hype is justified for the Netflix’s One piece live-action season 2.
Cast of the live-action One Piece stars Iñaki as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily as Nami, Jacob as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Also Aidan as Helmeppo, Vincent as Vice Admiral Garp, Langley as Captain Morgan, Craig as Zeff, Peter as Shanks, Ilia as Alvida, Jeff as Buggy the Clown, McKinley as Arlong, and many more. For now, these the only members of the cast for the Season 1.
Recurring characters are also expected to appear during season 2, though they have not been confirmed. Season 1’s recurring casts included as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Craig Fairbrass as Zeff, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, and many more.
With New Season 2 begins production, other new faces are also joining the cast. As announced by Netflix Daniel as Mr. 9, Camrus as Mr. 5, Jazzara as Miss Valentine, and David as Mr. 3, Clive as Crocus, Werner as Dorry, and Brendan as Brogy, Callum as Smoker, Julia as Tashigi, Rob as Wapol, and Tyrone as Dalton, Jaimie Lee as Doctor Kureha, Sendhil as Nefertari Cobra, Chandran as Nefertari Vivi, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Nico Robin.

Is season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece confirmed?
Yes! Thanks to the One piece’s mangaka Oda sensei, As he delivered the news in a special video published on 14th September 2023.
“It seems people around the world have been enjoying the show, which makes the hard work from the production team truly worth it,” Oda Sensei announced via Den Den Mushi. “Two weeks after the launch, I just received some great news… Netflix has decided to renew the show! The adventures of Iñaki and the live-action Straw Hats will continue onward.”

Has One Piece Season 2 started filming?
Yes! Netflix officially announced season 2 of One Piece had begun production in South Africa in the late june 2024. After Netflix’s official announcement, many cast members also took to their social media to confirm the same.
