Jujutsu Kaisen synopsis: High school student Yuuji Itadori spends his days in either the clubroom or the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather, while idly engaging in spurious paranormal activities with the Occult Club.

When he unintentionally comes across a cursed artifact, his leisurely way of life quickly turns odd. Yuuji is abruptly pushed into the world of Curses after setting off a series of mysterious events.

After swallowing the stated object, revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses,” terrible monsters created from human malice and negativity.

As Yuuji realizes his own newly acquired abilities, he directly encounters the danger that these Curses pose to civilization.

He enters the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School and starts down a path that he cannot turn back from—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.
