Jujutsu Kaisen Creator Breaks Silence now that the Manga Is over?
Jujutsu Kaisen has finally ended, and series creator Gege Akutami along with series fans across the globe are very emotional.
And with that release of Chapter #271) on September 29, 2024, Jujutsu Kaisen’s story came to an end after six long years and 27+ volumes, When the announced was made that they were ending the series in five more chapters, fans wondered if the author could answer all of their mysterious unsettled burning questions.
The fate of series characters, the state of the Jujutsu kaisen’s world after the events in Shinjuku, and what will happen to Yuji Itadori at the end. In the last chapter, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara venture to cater the harassment of a vigilant cursed user after the defeat of Sukuna.
While the story may have ended, MAPPA, has currently announced other animation projects from other franchises, and given that the animation of Jujutsu Kaisen is only halfway through as of now, as season 2 is adapted and season 3 in production, and with the number of manga chapters left (story wise), another season will be adapted very soon.

Jujutsu Kaisen with its alluring storyline and with its modern artistic animation became a global sensation upon it’s release. In 2018, the world watched as Gege Akutami began publishing the manga volumes, and no one saw just how massive the fandom of the series will be. Hence becoming one of the top-selling manga at Shueisha, but after a six-year run, its story has concluded.
The final reveal of the Jujutsu Kaisen’s storyline went live this week, and now Gege is breaking his silence on it.
The silence broke from Shueisha as the publisher posted a special note from the manga author Gege Akutami’s note addressing Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271, “We’ve reach the series finale”
“Thank you all for your support!! I’ll keep doing my best with my future works.” Akutami also takes the time to thank fans for helping series reach a new milestone. The manga has reach 120 –plus million copies sold globally, making it one of the highest-selling manga of all time.
As Jujutsu Kaisen became one of the favorite modern manga with incredible modern animated fight sequences and one of the strongest and overpowered characters in shōnen. Thus beating the all-time favorite One Piece in 2023 becoming the world’s most popular anime for that year.
So its ending leaves a bittersweet moment for its massive fandom and a great emotiojnal void in the hearts.
Will Jujutsu Kaisen Get a Spinoff Prequel or a Sequel?
