Hunter x Hunter synopsis: The world of Hunter x Hunter is one in which risky jobs for Hunters include catching criminals and valiantly looking for forgotten treasures in unfamiliar areas.

Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old Hunter who had been abandoned as a child, is dedicated to becoming the finest Hunter he can be in the hopes of one day reuniting with his father, a Hunter himself.

He quickly learns, though, that the road to attaining his objectives is much more difficult than he could have ever imagined.

Gon makes friends with the vivacious doctor-in-training Leorio, the vindictive Kurapika, and the disobedient former assassin Killua on his journey to becoming an official Hunter.

Together, the four of them undergo the Hunter Exam, which is infamous for having a poor success rate and a high likelihood of death, in order to fulfill their individual objectives and desires.

Gon and his companions set out on an expedition that will test them and cause them to face many challenges. They will encounter several monsters, creatures, and characters as they discover what it means to be a Hunter in real life.
